This is my family - my babe of a husband, James, our sweet little Eloise, and our crazy puppy, Barry! James is my taste tester and biggest cheerleader! Eloise is our newest addition and brings the constant smiles and giggles. Barry is my little floof monster mascot who loves to eat anything that falls on the floor (don't worry, I try to avoid this at all cost).

Every day I was trying new recipes and giving goodies to family and friends - it was one of the only things that got me through IVF (bc let's be real

I started this little gig in 2021 - the middle of Covid while my husband and I were going through infertility treatments. Life was tough, but I found solace in my kitchen. Every day I was trying new recipes and giving goodies to family and friends - it was one of the only things that got me through IVF (bc let's be real
- IVF is not fun or glamorous). After I made my first batch of royal icing sugar cookies, I was hooked. I started making them for every occasion and my friends and family were gracious enough to make me feel like they were wonderful. Looking back now, I know they were just being nice. They tasted great...but my decorating sucked (I'II spare you a photo). It's been a couple years and I'm so proud of where I am, but I'm still learning every day.
The name Bitt of Sugar pays tribute to my maiden name 'Bittner' and the sugar cane mill that I grew up next to in Hawaii. My goal of Bitt of Sugar is to help pay for our fertility treatments, while offering you sweet treats for your many occasions....bc there is always a reason to eat cookies.
